Edit Be a Community Correspondent for s1crosshouse

If you know all there is to know about Crosshouse and you want to help get people talking about the subjects that matter here, then we want to hear from you.

s1crosshouse is a new type of website acting as a one-stop-shop for everything about life in Crosshouse.

Its lifeblood is postings by the people of who live here. Anyone who lives in Crosshouse can post to s1crosshouse. But we're also looking for a Community Correspondent who can act as a point of contact for the site, collect local information and encourage people to post.

We need someone who is already deeply involved in the community - perhaps you've lived here all your life, or are a member of local organisations. Perhaps you just have lots of friends in the area and know what interests them.

You will be someone who can spread the word about s1crosshouse, post news and pictures and to encourage others to do the same. It's not a difficult task - we'd be surprised if it took even a couple of hours a week - but it's an important role which will put you right at the heart of the community.
If you think you can help then please get in touch. You don't need to be a journalist or a writer - in fact, in many ways we'd prefer it if you weren't - you just need to have decent spelling and grammar and a burning need to do your bit for Crosshouse.

Please email us using contact@s1crosshouse.com explaining why you'd love to be a Community Correspondent for Crosshouse. If you'd like to see what Community Correspondents in other areas are doing, have a look here:

About s1crosshouse

s1crosshouse.com is a free and open place to talk about the things that interest people in Crosshouse. You can post news, show off pictures and video, make announcements, start debates or even sell your fridge!

Unlike traditional news media, s1crosshouse won't tell you what you should find interesting - it's all up to you. Anyone who lives in Crosshouse can post to s1crosshouse. But because it's owned by Herald & Times Group, there's also a team of professional journalists working behind the scenes to keep it all moving, and we won't allow it to die off like so many community sites.
